Electrical Construction
Level I - Assist with the layout and installation of electrical conduit systems consisting of rigid steel, electrical metal tubing, non-metallic conduit (PVC), and prefabricated bus duct.
Level I - Assist with the layout and installation of building lighting systems including lay-in fixtures, surface mount fixtures, wallpacks, and flood lights using LED and fluorescent lighting.
Level II - Layout and install electrical conduit systems consisting of rigid steel, electrical metallic tubing, non-metallic conduit (PVC) and prefabricated bus duct with supervision.
Level II - Installation of building lighting systems including lay-in fixtures, surface mount fixtures, wallpacks, and flood lights using LED and fluorescent lighting.
Level III - Layout and install electrical conduit systems consisting of rigid steel, electrical metal tubing, non-metallic conduit (PVC), and prefabricated bus duct with limited supervision.
Level III - Installation of building lighting control systems including motion sensing, daylight harvesting, diming control, and timeclocks with limited supervision.
Electrical Systems Maintenance
Level I - Assist with the maintenance, repair, and replacement of electrical equipment and apparatus including single and three phase motors, starters, generators, fused and non-fused disconnect switches and circuit breakers.
Level II - Read, understand plans/specifications and apply them to work in the field.
Level II - Perform maintenance, repair, replacement of electrical equipment and apparatus including single and three phase motors, starters, generators, fused and non-fused disconnect switches and circuit breakers with supervision.
Level III - Perform maintenance, repair, replacement of electrical equipment and apparatus including single and three phase motors, starters, generators, fused and non-fused disconnect switches and circuit breakers with limited supervision.
Level III - Perform maintenance and repair of building lighting and control systems with limited supervision
Codes and Regulations
Level I - Demonstrate basic knowledge of topics covered in the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Level I - Demonstrate basic knowledge of topics covered in the NFPA 70E.
Level II - Demonstrate ability to apply National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements to applicable field work on cable protection and equipment grounding.
Level II - Demonstrate ability to apply NFPA 70E guidelines for Arc Flash safety.
