    • Level I - Operate hand and power tools such as drain snakes, grinders, drill presses, pipe-threading machines, pipe cutters, power saws, brazing and soldering equipment, snap cutters, Pro Presses, and powder actuated fasteners.
    • Level I - Maintain and repair toilets, urinals and sinks, as well as emergency eyewashes, showers and water fountains.
    • Level II - Install or replace toilets, urinals, sinks, water fountains, showers and emergency eyewashes.
    • Level II - Maintain and repair PVC, copper, acid waste, and steel piping.
    • Level II - Basic knowledge of the two types of Backflow preventers used on campus.
    • Level III - Install, maintain, and repair instantaneous water heaters and conventional storage tank hot water heaters.
    • Level III - Install PVC, copper, acid waste, and steel piping.
  • Steam Systems
    • Level I - Locate, identify and test various types of steam traps and condensate pumps understanding how a steam system works and its components such as pressure relief valves, condensate returns, expansion joints, steam rated valves and pressure regulatin
    • Level II - Repair and maintain steam distributions systems up to 125 PSI along with associated coils and heat exchangers.
    • Level III - Repair and install various types of steam traps and condensate pumps.
    • Level III - Install new steam and condensate systems.
  • Electrical
    • Level III - Basic electrical ability to disconnect power from recirculating/condensate pumps while performing maintenance or repairs.
  • Codes and Regulations
    • Knowledge of applicable Plumbing Codes.
    • Ensures work is performed in compliance with safety, building, fire, hazardous and other applicable codes and regulations.
    • Knowledge of AIM or comparable Work Order Tracking System and ability to enter data as needed.
