  • Maintains and properly uses all mechanical equipment
  • Reads and understands operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Preventative Maintenance
  • Identifies, repairs, and replaces damaged or worn parts
  • Understands and performs state inspection process
  • Provides lube, oil, and filters
  • Accurately evaluates vehicle condition
• Diagnostics
  • Begins diagnosis by listening to the operator describe the problem
  • Operates and inspects machines to diagnose defects
  • Tests mechanical equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications
  • Reads and understands operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Estimates equipment downtime needed for repairs
  • Overhauls and tests major components such as engines, hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Identifies malfunctions; inspects, repairs, and replaces defective worn parts
