Safety
Participate in Personal Protective Equipment training: Proper use of safety glasses, face coverings and hearing protection.
Participate in Material(s) Handling training.
Follow all safety processes and producures while performing job related tasks.
Product Operations
Place spools of thread, cord, or other materials on spindles, insert bobbins, and thread ends through machine guides and components.
Cut materials according to specifications, using blades, scissors, or electric knives.
Position material or articles in clamps, templates, or hoop frames prior to automatic operation of machines.
Guide garments or garmet parts under machine needles and presser feet to sew parts together.
Select supplies such as fastners and thread, according to job requirements.
Perform specialized or automatic sewing machine functions, such as buttonhole making or tacking.
Understand how to mark pieces, count items and bundle cut parts to go to sewing.
Documentation/Communication
Read work orders, and apply knowledge and experience with materials to determine types and amounts of materials required to cover workpieces.
Record quantities of materials processed.
Read and interpret production ticket.
Work Environment and Equipment
Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stiching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions.
Utilize bed felling machines, to automatically join, reinforce, or decorate material or articles.
Notifies supervisor and others of any required repair work to equipment and tools.
Perform equipment maintenance tasks such as replacing needles, sanding rough areas of needles, or cleaning and oiling sewing machines.
Quality/Proficiency
Cut excess material or thread from finished products.
Inspect garmets, and examine repair tags and markings on garments to locate defects or damage, and mark errors as necessary.

Discourage harassment
Allow victims to report abuse
Prevent retaliation by abusers
Ensure swift resolution of complaints
Promote a harassment-free work culture
