Installs and diagnoses problems with peripherals such as printers
Migrates customer data and software between workstations
Maintains best security practices on workstations, identifies and removes viruses
Installs and services wired networks
Runs cables throughout a building neatly and professionally, using available tools and resources to find a discreet cable path through finished or complex buildings
Terminates and tests Ethernet, coaxial, and fiber-optic cables
Diagnoses and repairs issues with network cables and devices in a building
Mounts devices such as access points and security cameras neatly and professionally, both indoors and outdoors
Configures routers for specific needs including firewall rules, port forwarding, and DNS settings
Plans and installs security camera systems
Surveys premises and chooses locations for security cameras for optimum coverage given the budget and constraints of the project
Installs and configures cameras and NVR (Network Video Recorder) ensuring that footage will be captured and stored, and the cameras can be viewed remotely
Diagnoses and performs troubleshooting and repair for security camera systems
Plans and installs wi-fi systems
Performs a site survey to plan AP (Access Point) locations for optimum coverage
Installs and configures APs for 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz coverage
Responds to end-user complaints, diagnoses and repairs problems with wi-fi connectivity
Installs and supports POS (point-of-sale) systems
Installs point-of-sale hardware including cash registers, payment terminals, receipt printers and kitchen display screens
Configures settings to prepare the POS for use including inventory or menu settings
Assists clients in maintaining PCI Compliance at all times
Responds to end-user complaints, diagnoses and repairs problems with POS systems and payment processing, promptly during open hours of business
