- Project/ File management - Manage projects and files according to SCM framework and Machine Design Guidelines.
- Project Design - Select materials and components, create working prototypes, analyze current process and engineer improvements into machinery/work centers.
- Detail - Specify features complete with tolerances, notes and dimensions for the machine shop.
- Machine work - Basic operation of manual mill/lathe.
- Verify finished components & assemblies for fitment, finish, and conformance to specifications using micrometer, caliper and other measuring devices
- Purchasing - Source components and materials, acquire quotes, write purchase orders, check in component when received.
- Cameras, leak detectors, laser measuring, transducers. Install, repair, adjust, maintain.
- Assembly drawings - Provide clear and concise drawings to be used in the assembly of the machine.
- Weldments/fabrication/sheet metal. Mill, lathe, drill/tap, cut, bend. Weld mig/tig carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum
- Mechanical assembly - Assembly of all mechanical components.
- Controls - Electrical box layout and fitment, wiring, PLC programming, motor control, robotic controls, controls sequence. Electrical schematic
- Fluid controls - Size, layout, and routing hydraulics and pneumatics
- Safety design - Barriers, switches, and sensors
- Component Routing - Wire, cable, tube, hose routing and protection
- Tooling - Design, specify, select material, harden, chrome, and polish
- Start up, debugging, proofing
- Write operator/maintenance manual
- Train operators, maintenance personnel
